![]() Her power is unmatched, and she can hold her own against anyone she’s terrifying.įury is sent to Earth to clean up the chaos War caused in Darksiders 1. She isn’t excited to clean up War’s mess and is annoyed she’ll have to take down the seven deadly sins, but she’ll never say no to a good fight. ![]() While Death and War are stoic, Fury does not hold back, and her words are as sharp as her bladed whip. It's the only thing I can think of and it's kind of a long shot.Darksiders 3 is the third game in the Darksiders series and follows Fury, a wild woman of a horseman. But one could argue that they intended to set her up the whole time, so maybe unbeknownst to Fury, they took away the "unimaginable power" they gave her when she became one of their horsemen. He is nearly invulnerable, can heal very quickly and he is a master of necromancy.įrom a gameplay point of view it's understandable that you wouldn't want the playable character to be OP AF but from a lore perspective it doesn't make sense.Īs for Fury - so far hers is the only mission that is officially sanctioned by the Charred Council. He is the only remaining "Fistborn" Nephilim, which makes him a second generation (the first being Absalom). His mission not being officially sanctioned by the council (which also prevents him from using his favorite weapon - the Harvester scythe)Įven then he should be more powerful than he is in the game.Īccording to Darksiders lore he is most powerful of the four horsemen and also the oldest. The same can be said about Death in Darksiders II. It doesn't make a lot of sense for her to be this weak lore-wise. Just wanted to share my thoughts but sorry for the wall of text :/ Welp, it turns out longer then I expected. There she learn the whereabouts of Fake Envy (a fragments of real Envy put in place with the Talisman to set everything in motion).Īnd after that the game proceeds as usual. The Lord of the Hollows saves her, remove her powers, give her magic and send her to the Ulthane's refuge so she can find and save the humans. She fight her way to Wrath (he is the Sin she is more aligned with so she is drawn to him) and then she is defeated in battle (END OF THE PRELUDE). Or better yet, maybe I can just switch some events to keep the prelude in line with the other games in the series and get rid of some coincidence and serendipity (that are a bit too much, like, to name a few, landing right next to the first boss that for some reason is none other than the one with the Talisman of Sin without which nothing would have happened).įury at full power land on Earth. It's a pity they didn't do something like this even if that would've been an hell of a long "prelude" but however I'll still pretend that this is the case. This way she ended up having new abilities to master hence the reason for the levelling system. Then she's been saved by Lord of the Hollows who'll keep her powers until she's worthy and granting her his magic instead, to help in her quest. So what if Fury was fully powered at the beginning of the story till she's mortally wounded by the hands of Wrath. And interestingly enough, the first time we meet him is when Fury is defeated by Wrath. There is indeed a character that could've remove her powers and to whom she have to prove herself and that's the Lord of the Hollows. Too bad :(īut now that you mentioned the "prove her worth" theme I just stumble upon this: So if she can beat the Seven Sins on her own merits, she gets to lead the Horsemen. That could've been a nice touch. Originally posted by RCMidas:My personal one is that the cutscenes "forgot" to show us the Charred Council telling Fury that she will be left with her innate abilities, rather than those granted by the Council, in order to prove herself worthy of leading the Horsemen. ![]() would be boring to just be invincible taking no damage at all and kill everything just with your barehands, using weapons that would be weaker than your own fists). but he dies to some rockets to the face in-game because. fury, the act of going forward spreading damage and destruction at random like a force of the nature (but yes, she is not tanky neither as powerful, but I think it is the same as Doomslayer, that can go barehands without seraphin powers against the forces of hell and destroy a titan and then he gets seraphin powers to be virtually invincible. Fury (aside from King Bradley) usually is dumb. Apparently she was supposed to be the magic one but they didn't implement that in the gameplay. War is the best strenght-wise, Death is the best in term of speed and all-around talents, Strife seems to be some kind of sneaky dude with a very good aim and Fury is just Death but weaker and dumber.
